Abstract

1.- By three genres of theology we can know God:

a) By the nature of the world and by the things that have been done and thus we know God, if there is and then all the attributes that suit him, as it is the first cause of all things. This genre of knowledge of God is the theology that is considered part of philosophy.

b) By those things that are above the intellect of man and yet have been revealed by God and received by us through faith; for faith is "guarantee of what is expected; proof of the realities you don't see." In this way all the faithful and then theologians know God first, and from there is born that theology that belongs to sacred doctrine.

c) We can know God from the fact that we love Him above all things and love all things because of God with a love of truth that is man's friendship with God and because the friend is for the friend and God loves those who love Him; of this friendship and of this mutual love of communication between God and man, man begins to have righteous judgment in the form of a certain inclination about divine things and this knowledge of divine things born of our love for God is born a certain new theology called mystical, i.e., hidden, secret.
