Abstract

Innovating in education is a dignified and valuable but risky company. And if that innovation tries to restore the search for scientific truth in the light of reason as the real mission of a University Doctoral program, the risk is even greater. Opening the Doctorate as an opportunity for the intellectual, spiritual and moral development of Costa Ricans, establishing as a requirement a personal commitment to discipline, rigor, laboriousness, intellectual honesty and moral integrity required by the method of scientific research, arouses doubts and suspicions, fears and suspicions, as well as enthusiasm, hope and faith in the human mind

The enthusiasm for this opportunity, attested by the many students seeking in the Academic Doctorate of the U.A..C.A. a path to their best spiritual goals is not what concerns when writing this article. Rather, it is possible misinterpretations, mistakes or bad faith with which the philosophy and pedagogy that guides this university program can be misrepresented.
