Abstract

The fundamental norms of labor law and social security - social rights and guarantees - have been included in most of the Constitutions of Modern States and in important international conventions. Declarations on social rights are included in the Charter of Versailles (International Labor Organization), in 1919; Declaration of Philadelphia, 1944; Charter of the United Nations, San Francisco, 1945; Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Paris, 1948; International American Charter of Social Guarantees, of the IX Conference of American States, Bogotá, 1948; and in the Social Charter of Europe, Turin, October 18, 1961.
