Abstract

For this research the main components of radiographic equipment (including X-ray tube and image detectors) were evaluated. Values of repeatability, accuracy and linearity for the exposure parameters , half-value layer , tube performance were established . Some techniques including using phantoms and imageJ as the image analysis software were used. Some values were set for future quality control protocols. The  values includes noise, uniformity and quality of image. The tests were based on the protocols of quality control of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Spanish Society of Medical Physics. With this information, a certificate of proper functioning is generated. This certificate can be used to submit to the regulatory authority (Ministry of Health ) that gives validity to operate the equipment with stable patients.
