Michel Foucault: a thinking chef on the move

Abstract

The need to make a synthetic development about the context of theoretical production in which Michel Foucault found himself immersed in his first stage of work, that is, the archaeological one, arises as an attempt to understand some postulates, which would otherwise not be possible to access considering that Foucault, especially in his pillar works, is not very explicit about who his interlocutors are.
Gérard Lebrun, in a work entitled Notes on Phenomenology contained in words and things, perhaps coinciding with our idea, tells us:
Words and things were not a book understood at the time as the essay of a new method, but was considered an aggression that aroused the fuss that everyone knows. Those times are far away. The phenomenological surge has retreated and Words and Things lost their controversial character. So today's reader tends to ignore or forget (...) that it's a combat book and also a philosophical book.
