Abstract

On Sunday eight of the currents, in Siglo Veintiuno, Mario Bunge, an Argentine philosopher who resided (or still resides in Canada), makes a ruthless criticism of Friedrich von Hayek, the recently deceased Austrian thinker who had close ties with the Francisco Marroquín University , from Guatemala. Not only is there a course on his social philosophy, which must be approved by candidates to receive the title of Professor, Bachelor or Master, in all the careers offered, but Hayek was the founder of the Mont Pelerín Society, to which several belong managers and friends of the University.
