Abstract

Even when "sociology" is defined as the science of socialities, it is not possible to treat human groups without reaching the individual, the ultimate element of which groups are composed. The quintessential product of collective activity is that set of intellectual and moral goods called civilization. Civilization influences man and is what distinguishes him from the animal. Only in historical analysis will it be possible to obtain how man was formed, insofar as he is a product of it.
