Abstract

The close relationship between indigenous peoples and the lands they inhabit has generally been recognized, including within the concept of these, the use of natural resources through traditional or customary practices. Therefore, it is not surprising that this link is included in different legal instruments that tend to ensure indigenous peoples adequate rights over their lands and over their cultural identity.
