Abstract

In the work "The future of freedom" its author, Karl-Hermann Flach, when raising the theme of "freedom as a task", starts to cavilar on the liberal mood. In this regard he brings some ideas: "The liberal mood he writes- presupposes a great spiritual and emotional strength. Quite contrary to the false image of the 'liberal hens', only those whose inner strength remains intact are capable of behaving liberally in conflict situations. The practical liberal attitude presupposes that he who exercises it has reached a level of consciousness that places him above the scheme, still so deeply rooted, of friend and foe" (p. 135).
The liberal mood, therefore, is inclined to know the new and to hear, read and appreciate the opinion of others. The liberal mood, too, is willing to share its ideas with others in full tolerance.
