Artificial Intelligence: The Importance of Assuming Responsibilities

Abstract
Currently, artificial intelligence (AI) is used in various products and systems, from cars to chatbots, which has led to its popularity and the growth of the technology industry. However, AI also presents an ethical problem: the lack of accountability in cases of failures and damages caused by its autonomous use. This puts the trust of the public in these systems at risk and, therefore, the investment in them. The ethical dilemma lies in the fact that the responsibility of AI rests on its autonomous decision-making capability, which can result in harmful consequences without direct human intervention. In this context, the technology industry and professionals involved in AI development must take responsibility and commit to ethical standards to ensure the safety and trust of users in these systems.
