The apeiron and the tale in Poetics: continuities and discontinuities

Abstract

This essay consists of a comparison between the pre-socratic philosopher Anaximander´s concept of apeiron and the aristotelic idea of the tale, as it is proposed in his book Poetics. It works by describing each concept and then it compares. It concludes the similarities related to the dependence on the idea of change and the process based on three ontological moments; and it shows the differences about the develop of the necessity concept and the equilibrium´s idea divergence.
