Abstract

About armando Reverón's work and life, it's almost all said. From the lucid text of the great essayist, Mariano Picón-Salas, to the no less lucid interpretation of Luis Pérez Oramas. Between them, about fifty years of readings of reveronian work mediate. The approaches and accruals of his most faithful critical executor: Alfredo Boulton; the penetrations of Juan Calzadilla's pictorial universe; the very intelligent erotic-religious relations that Juan Liscano set; the importance of his wife Juanita as a theme and space that Marta Traba glimpsed; the location in the world of pictorial schools that Miguel Otero Silva specified and, in short, 1 innumerable number of interpretations that has provoked the work of the painter of Macuto has not been produced by any other Venezuelan artist.
