Abstract

The professional in Health Care has daily contact with human pain and suffering, and is frequently confronted with death in his daily work activities. How the professional responds to the emotional load this represents, and how he processes it within his psyque has a definite impact in his performance, as well as his personal life. This article has the aim of explaining several points thet should become useful tools for the Health Care professional, to face the dilemma of death in an emotionally intelligent and productive way, both in his or her work as well as personal life.
