Abstract

Since long before I started my university studies, I was clear that the career I would select was Medicine. At the time, I knew that it would be a great challenge, that it would require significant effort on my part, which would be a great commitment to my family; that it would take most of my time and that it was a career where it was not to forget that the reason for its existence and its goal is the study, analysis and treatment of human sufferings, being the biopsychosocial well-being of it its goal. Over time one realizes that it is a profession where there is no room for mistakes or midpoints, tiredness or claudication. It entails an immense moral commitment to integrity, excellence, dedication and struggle. It is a race that involves sacrifices; a change of attitude and above all a selfless dedication for the well-being of others.
