Abstract

Pope John Paul II, whose 25 years of Pontificate is celebrating the entire Catholic world, following the line of all his predecessors, has stated more than once that "the Church does not propose economic or political systems or programs, nor does it express preferences for some or by others, provided that the dignity of man is duly respected and promoted, and that she enjoys the necessary space to exercise her ministry in the world, but the Church, John Paul II continues, is an expert in Humanity, and this it moves to necessarily extend its religious mission to the various fields in which men and women carry out their activities in search of the happiness, although always relative, that is possible in this world, in accordance with their dignity as persons. a word to say (...) and to this end he uses his social doctrine as an instrument ".
