El uso de aplicaciones móviles accesibles

Abstract

This is intended to present the result of an arduous research in the field of mobile technologies, disability and accessibility. However, it is mandatory to cover in a general way many aspects directly or indirectly related to the topic of accessibility.

In this sample, in a consistent and comprehensive manner, the theoretical foundations that allow the reader to find in a timely manner all those concepts necessary to understand the historical, social and technological context of key aspects such as the evolution of information and communication technologies, evolution of mobile devices, and their capabilities (hardware, software, operating system), the arrival and provision of mobile services in Costa Rica, the Costa Rica´s telephony market, digital
government in Costa Rica, disability, national and international legislation on disability, accessibility and many other issues.

Through the analysis of results, based on techniques of quantitative and qualitative data collection, we will conclude the current situation of the mobile applications ‘in Costa Rica’ in terms of accessibility and aspects of the environment as the organizational disposition to encourage the development and implementation of policies in favor of people with disabilities. In addition, a proposal for the development of accessible mobile applications will be provided.
