The status of the human embryo in the context of in vitro fertilization

Abstract
The way scientific issues are raised is changing radically today. But the very nature of science has not changed, nor can it really do so. This is especially evident in the field of biomedicine. The humanitarian image, typical of research that strives to save human lives, to cure disease and to alleviate pain, which is appealed is not consistent with the means to be used, and are used in certain cases to achieve it. It is a contradiction with the stated aim of curing diseases of one, employing others; or even call to life only to be used as biological material. The nature of science does not change; what we are debating, and what we are deliberating about, is to change the assessment of one's life at the convenience of others. In the name of science, it is a question of imposing on our societies an attitude towards life itself incompatible with the values of every democratic society. But that attitude finds no support in rigorous science.
