Abstract

The measures to be taken in order to achieve what is called sustainable development are made up of a wide range: some must be based on sanction and control; others in the allocation of economic taxes to discourage certain activities or in incentives to others. Likewise, another relatively new response can be considered: the recognition of the existence of a market for goods and services and their use to reduce or eliminate the environmental impacts of productive activities. On this topic, and taking into account the role of the consumer, these brief lines were elaborated.
