Writings on communication

Abstract
To talk about communication in the political world is to talk about one of the tools par excellence for mass persuasion and influence on collective thinking.
We would not dare to generalize with regard to the ethics and transparency - or lack therein - present in the political work of the world when it comes to communication, but it is a fact that history shows us that in rare cases there has been a hand of resources and techniques that tend more towards the manipulation or biasing of the recipient, rather than pure information.
Political communication has been called propaganda, perhaps to differentiate it from commercial communication, usually called advertising. It is precisely that kind of political communication to which I wish to refer.
It is a fact that bias - to call the phenomenon in a euphemistic way - goes far beyond the spoken or written word. Rather, in many of its manifestations it takes on a wide range of symbolisms, graphisms and other suggestiveness that go beyond what they seem to represent.
