Interview with Arnold Harberger

Abstract

Professor of Economics at the University of California Los Angeles since 1984; Professor Emeritus at the University of Chicago since 1991. Other academic positions include visiting professorships at Harvard and Princeton universities, the Massachusetts Institute for Technology Center for International Studies in New Delhi and the University of Paris. Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States. Fellow of the Econometric Society and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Past president of the American Economic Association. Consultant to 16 foreign governments, nine U.S. government agencies and eight international agencies and foundations. Author or co-author of nearly 200 journal articles, books, speeches and conference presentations.
