Abstract

In the period around the turn of the nineteenth to the twentieth century, a tendency to join and capture the founding of groups of different kinds emerged in the Italian colony residing in Costa Rica. The literal transcription of some paragraphs of the statutes of the various societies makes it possible to unravel, as far as discourse and content are concerned, the mental peculiarities of the time.
