Abstract

This article comprises the third and final part of a series of three deliveries where the history of Freemasonry in Costa Rica is analyzed in a general point of view, from its founding to the present day and its influence on the formation of the Costa Rican State. In this third chapter, we will study the last stage of the conflict between the Catholic Church and Freemasonry, the construction process of the Masonic Temple in San Jose, (which was a key point in the consolidation of Freemasonry in the country) and finally we analyze how Freemasonry adapts to the new post-national reality to social reforms and civil war in 1948 until 2015.
