The accuracy and precision in mathematical concepts

Abstract

Concern has recently been expressed - including through the mass media - about the difficulties that students generally show in learning mathematics.
The subject deserves an in-depth pedagogical treatment, valid for any level and whose approach is not limited only to the methodological field, but rather, entering the didactic field, it can suggest to teachers their reflection on how mathematical concepts are given.
We have to accept that, in every discipline, accuracy and precision in concepts is an inescapable presupposition. With much more reason, when it is an exact science, which alone would seem to be demanding these conditions more rigorously.
