Abstract

We decided to go to one of those "personalized" invitations often made to us by the Minister of Finance for conferences sponsored by one of the international financial institutions, in his vanos efforts to make us change, and to which we had not gone for three reasons: all speakers have a common denominator; we generally agree with your position; and, as William Faulkner said when he refused to go to dinner at the White House, "I'm too old to go so far to eat with people I don't know."
But we went to hear the one we've read the most because lately we've noticed it as a violent twist on the expression of their opinions, and we think maybe it's because now if it's possible to have doubts about the virtues of the market paradigm, and people tend to get more dogmatic so as not to fall victim to doubt.
