The Costa Rican Legislative Power

Abstract

Under Title IX, our Social Charter and Fundamental Policy establishes the regulation concerning "THE LEGISLATIVE POWER" on the institution that is quintessentially constituted in the greatest representation and mirror of Costa Rican society. In it emerge the most diverse ideological-political manifestations, essentially because of the regime of parties in which we are immersed, as well as - and not least - social, economic and cultural manifestations that make up that crucible that has characterized the Costa Rican people. From the pristine moments of homeland independence, the creation and formation of a state and its republican institutions, our ancestors took pains to inherit to generations to come the main ones of FREEDOM, JUSTICE and LEGALITY, so rooted in our idiosyncrasies and for which we find its true dimension, meaning and real interpretation in the highly aspirated ideals of a RE-PRESENT DEMOCRACY , of a RULE OF RIGHT, of an IDEOLOGICO PLURALISM, and an unrestricted respect and attachment to FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS.
